Prontera is the name of the capital of the Rune Midgard Kingdom and the center of trade in the world of Rune Midgard. It is the home of the Prontera Church, its religious center and also to the Prontera Castle which is is the home of its government, a monarchy, ruled by King Tristan Gaebolg III. Its army, a chivalric order of Knights is also headquartered in the town.
