Ragnarok: The Orchestra Concert Korea (2023) was a concert held in Seoul, South Korea on 20 May 2023 at 7:30pm. It was created as a collaboration between creators of Ragnarok Online, Gravity and game music platform FLASIC.[1] It was conducted by Korean conductor Sol Chin.[1][2]

Event

Gravity, in collaboration with the game music platform Plazik, hosted the 'Ragnarok The Orchestra Concert' on Saturday, May 20th. The event took place at 7:30 PM at the Mapo Art Center, accommodating approximately 1,000 attendees. The concert program featured 25 rearranged background music (BGM) tracks from Ragnarok Online split into two parts, the first consisted of 14 tracks and the second, 11, over a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes.[2]

Tracks were performed by the Flash Game Symphony Orchestra and a band and tickets were made available for purchase on Korean ticketing platform Interpark Ticket starting from April 26th. The orchestra sold out quickly, with the top sales figures in the category of classical/dance performances at that time.[1] Concert-goers received a coupon card for rare in-game items for Ragnarok Online, Ragnarok Origin, and Ragnarok X: Next Generation.[3]

Around the theatre, Ragnarok-themed branding was placed around to entertain guests, as well as a photo zone in which people could take photos around Ragnarok-themed areas and characters[1][2]. In addition, a RO-themed shop was provided where players could buy Ragnarok merchandise.[2]
