ROPP: Portal/2024 Goals
The 2024 Goals for the Ragnarok Online Preservation mainly centered around expanding out the content and reach of the wiki.

2024 Project Summary
Currently the wiki is rising in popularity, however, due to the expansive amounts of spam we have had to face during 2024 and limited time personally due to work and personal commitments, managing ragnarok.wiki has been a challenge. Halca has taken a short leave of absense from the Discord server due to lack of time to commit to it, however he is still working on the wiki and projects related to the Ragnarok Wiki and will continue to run it in the near future.
We have to celebrate the following now in terms of the site:
- VisualRag has been by far the most popular service offered by the site, taking up an estimated 25% of our traffic.
- The site is receiving, excluding duplication and bots, over 10,000 visitors per month
- Google searches are receiving over 750 to 1500 clicks on our articles per month. Our CTR is still relatively low due to Google indexing our results on other unrelated pages, but our traffic has grown from 250 to 750 clicks within a period of a few months.
- In several ragnarok-wiki related search terms, the Ragnarok Wiki is ranked at #5 or above. On average we are result number 8. Considering that 4 months before this barely any of our content even reached google or other search engines, it's not bad going considering this is entirely organic.
2025
In 2025, the emphasis will be on expanding the wiki so that people besides staff can contribute to it, and effective measures to combat spam, and creating a social media presence which is consistent and accessible. Similarly, due to the large volumes of traffic from Asia, we will endeavour to provide some translation services for a select number of languages in the Asia region including Thai and Japanese.
